The Legend of the Dreamcatcher
The ojibwa (chippewa)Indians were thought to be where the dreamcatcher origins spring from they believed that night is full of both good & bad dreams.
so when a dreamcatcher is placed by your bed-side, it moves freely in the night air & catching all your dreams as they drift by.
the bad dreams are caught in the web while good dreams slide down the feathers to those sleeping below.
although the designs & legends of dreamcatchers differ a little, the underlying meanings and symbolisms are universal and the dreamcatcher is widely used throughout our modern day society
